Richard Walsh concentrates his practice at Lombardi, Walsh, Wakeman, Harrison, Amodeo & Davenport, P.C., on litigation and labor law. He is the Principal in charge of both.

Mr. Walsh is involved in both plaintiff and defense work. He has won various million-dollar awards for plaintiff personal injury cases and labor arbitration cases. He represents a large number of labor unions, including many local Police Benevolent Associations. He is the former main defense counsel for Grand Union Company in the Tri-Cities area and has served as defense counsel for various large companies, including Stop & Shop. He is Labor Counsel for Columbia Memorial Hospital and also has represented plaintiffs in state and federal court in the areas of personal injury; age, sex and disability discrimination; and ERISA violations.


BACKGROUND

A native of Troy, N.Y., Mr. Walsh received his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University in 1968 and his Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Holy Cross in 1965. He was admitted to the Bars of New York State and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York, in 1969, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, in 1976. Mr. Walsh is a member of the Board of Directors of the Capital District Trial Lawyers’ Association, as well as a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association and National Employment Lawyers Association. He has lectured for the New York State Bar Association, Cornell University and Albany Law School.
